Hi Cornelius-

Once upon a time I thought that Luke was the least of the Gospels, but not any more. Now I believe there is more to it than meets the first glance. Certainly Acts of the Apostles can't be understood as written. There are too many questionable aspects to it. It's almost as if it were written in code. Philo's enigmas (also on the site you linked) is some interesting reading on that subject.

Glad you have discovered this site, there is a wealth of information there.

"The Dead Sea Scrolls contain references to "The Spouter of Lies," and many scholars suggest this referred to Paul. Paul's letters and his insistence that he was NOT a "spouter of lies" seems to support that position."

This is one that I hadn't noticed before, and I've read page many times. I knew of the
Spouter of Lies
but never made the connection that Paul defended himself from this very charge!
