Beloved, are we the followers of Yahshua called Jews? In other words, is Jew really our name?
The answer is a Yes.
If you are a follower of Yahshua then your name is Jew as long as you belong to that group that keeps Yahshua's teachings. That is, you are called a Jew. You have become part of the Jewish family.
Let's prove this truth:
Now, let's analyse these two scriptures from the book of revelation and the letter of James.
First, the letter of James:
In James 1:1, James the apostle writes to the church, that is the twelve tribes of Israel which were scattered in the days of the persecution by Saul. James 1:1;'James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
When the church, the twelve tribes of Israel were scattered:
Acts 8:1;'And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
Beloved, it was this same church, the twelve tribes of Israel that apostle Peter even addressed his letter to in 1 Peter. 1 Peter 1:1;'Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia.
Now beloved let's compare apostle James text in James 2:6-7 with Yahshua's statement in Revelation 2:9-10 to figure out whether they of the church of Yahshua were really called Jews.
Apostle James writes:
James 2:6-7;'But you have despised the poor. Do not the rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgement seats? Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which you are called?
Two things to note in James letter,
1. the rich drawing the poor to judgement seats
2. and the rich blaspheme the worthy name that the poor are called by.
Yahshua says to the church of Smyrna:
Revelation 2:9-10;'I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but you are rich) and [I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but [are] the synagogue of Satan. Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast [some] of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be you faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.'
Two things to note in Yahshua's message,
1. the devil, which is the rich, which is of the synagogue of Satan shall cast the poor (the Jews) into prison.
2. and they of the synagogue of Satan, the rich, blaspheme the name, Jew.

Comparison of the point 2 of notes taken in James letter and Yahshua's message:
In apostle James text, [2. and the rich blaspheme the worthy name that the poor are called by.]
What is this name of the poor that is being blasphemed by the rich?
The answer is right here in Yahshua's message, [2. and they of the synagogue of Satan, the rich, blaspheme the name, Jew.]
Therefore beloved, the name of the followers of Yahshua, the poor who are the ones rich in faith is Jew.
James 2:5;'Hearken, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to them that love Him?
Beloved, so long as you believe in Yahshua and you are baptised then you have also become part of the Jews. What I mean to say is that you have also become a Jew.
Beloved, every now and then, any one that accepts the truth about Yahshua initiates himself into the Jewish family. The number keep on increasing through the belief in Yahshua as even in the days of the 12 apostles and the days of Mordecai.
Acts 2:47;'Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.'
Esther 8:17;'...And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.'
Beloved, it was this same Jewish group, the twelve tribes of Israel, the church, that apostle Peter addresses as Christians. 1 Peter 4:16;'Yet if [any man suffer] as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.'
